HSHS St. John’s Hospital is now allowing COVID-19 patients to have visitors.

Up until now, patients who tested positive for COVID or were suspected of having the virus were not allowed to have visitors. But with the recent decline in cases, St. John’s is now allowing up to two visitors per COVID patient, but the visitors must check in with nursing staff and obtain required personal protective equipment which they must wear during their visit. In addition, visitors for COVID patients are advised to leave personal belongings at home, since purses and bags will not be allowed in those rooms.

Other visitors restrictions put in place during the pandemic remain in place, and masks are still required at all times throughout health care facilities.
