Former ALPLM Director Dies At 82

Eileen Mackevich, former executive director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum has died.

 

She served as executive director from 2010-2015. In 2004 she was named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women In Chicago by the Chicago Sun Times and she was a journalist and talk show host on Chicago Public Radio for 18 years.

 

Current executive director of ALPLM Christina Schutt says that while she never got to meet her, she appreciates her dedication to Lincoln’s Legacy and “making the world a better place.” Mackevich was 82.
