The death of a one-year-old Mechanicsburg girl earlier this month is being investigated as suspicious.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon says Sophia Faye Davis was transported to HSHS St. John’s Hospital from Logan County on February 6th. The girl died two days later. An autopsy indicates she died of a traumatic brain injury, caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
Allmon says the coroner’s office is assisting the Lincoln Police Department with the investigation.
