Still no ruling in the court case that’s challenging the mask mandates and COVID exclusion policies in dozens of Illinois school districts.
Sangamon County Judge Raylene Grischow says she is taking the matter under advisement and gave attorneys until next Thursday to submit additional information, with a ruling not expected until Friday, January 28th at the earliest.
Attorney Thomas DeVore is leading the case against 145 Illinois school districts, arguing that the blanket mask mandates and policies excluding students for being a “close contact” of a confirmed COVID case are unlawful.
