No one is hurt after a plane bound for Springfield clipped part of another aircraft shortly before takeoff from Punta Gorda, Florida.
Allegiant Air says the Springfield-bound flight had just pushed back from the gate when the plane made contact with an auxiliary power unit of a parked aircraft. 136 passengers and six crew members on the flight had to disembark, and the flight was canceled so that the plane could be checked for possible damage.
Passengers bound for Springfield were given the option of boarding a later flight or getting a full refund, and were also given vouchers for future air travel.
