Santa Claus has a pretty busy schedule for the next couple of weeks… but organizers of a fundraising effort say he’s looking for a place to spend some post-Christmas downtime, and you could help choose the destination.
Springfield is one of five finalists in an online competition organized by Berkley, a fishing supply company, to choose a place for Santa to take an after-Christmas fishing trip on December 27th. If Springfield wins, the company will donate up to $25,000 to supply Southwind Park with adaptive fishing equipment and other tools to assist people with disabilities.
Other competing communities include Huntsville, Alabama… Long Beach, California… and Panama City Beach, Florida. Voting is open through Sunday at berkley-fishing.com.
