The former Shop n Save building on North Grand Avenue West is about to get new occupants.
The Springfield Business Journal reports that the parent company of Medics First has purchased the vacant site and will move the nonprofit ambulance company’s operations there. In addition, Memorial Health plans to lease a portion of the space for what it calls “future workforce development programs.”
Medics First officials say they chose the new location in part because of its proximity to the Mid-Illinois Medical District. Renovation work on the property will begin in early 2022.
