The new owners of Springfield’s minor league baseball team are promising a new stadium experience for local fans.
The group calling itself Capital City Baseball says it will create an interactive experience with plenty of promotions aimed at both the serious baseball fan and people who aren’t necessary deep into sports but are looking for an enjoyable family experience. One of the new owners is WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, and the group says it is looking for additional local investors, too. One potential change could be the team name… and the ownership group says it will take the public’s ideas on whether to remain the Sliders or adopt a new team identity.
