A lot of times we go to our local barbershop for a haircut, and I feel like we underestimate how much our barber’s truly do for not only you and I, but for our community in general! Andrew Sforza, The owner of The Barbershop, and also founder of The Barbershop Youth Foundation, is a prime example of just that.
Andrew started the Barbershop Youth Foundation about 6 years ago. Originally, he bought Christmas gifts for about 20 local kids with the money out of his own pocket. Over the years, the number of kids that this foundation has been able to help, has quadrupled, and that’s just Christmas. The Barbershop Youth Foundation is active throughout the year as well –Heavily involved in back to school. Helping with supplies, uniforms, etc.
This year’s Christmas Fundraiser is hoping to help with that as well! The Barbershop Youth Foundation has a big goal and are calling on the community for support!
They have a goal to get every kid at Harvard Park Elementary Christmas Presents and Uniforms. They have drop boxes at select locations around Springfield. Check out their Facebook for more details on how to donate!
