Springfield Police officers responded to the 400 block of E. Adams Street for a report of a burglary.
A male and female suspect had been observed on camera
attempting to enter the structure.
A white U-Haul truck was seen in the area just as officers were responding; however, it was unknown at the time if it was
involved.
A male and female were found on bicycles near the rear of the U-Haul.
The male and female on the bicycles matched the subjects on video from the 400 block of E. Adams Street.
45-year-old Nathaniel Barnes of Springfield and 47-year-old Joyce Rushing of Springfield were both arrested for burglary and transported to the Sangamon County Jail.
