City Water Light and Power crews are currently responding to a number of power outages with severe storms in the Springfield area this morning, as per the City of Springfield early on Tuesday morning.
Outages are – as of this report – at over 3,300 customers across nine circuits mostly on the north end of Springfield.
CWLP notes that electric dispatch and crews are reviewing damage, and repairing areas to restore power to all customers as quickly and safely as possible.
Major areas affected as of this report include:
-From Dirksen Pkwy. to N 5th St. and Monument Ave. S of Sangamon Ave.
-Area N of Lanphier High School
-Areas around Enos Park and Gehrmann Park
-Areas S and W of the State Fairgrounds
-Area around Capital Airport and N of Rt 4 to Val E Vue
