Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski says she believes bipartisan cooperation is still possible, even in the sharply divided U.S. House.

Speaking to WMAY ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union address. Budzinski says she has made friends and established working relationships across the aisle in her short time on Capitol Hill – and thinks the two parties can find ways to work together.

The freshman Democrat says she will soon introduce her first bill, focusing on workforce development.

Her invited guest for Tuesday’s speech was Andrea Kelly, who is completing an apprenticeship program working on electrical issues on construction sites.
