Congresswoman Mary Miller says the social media uproar over her gaffe at a weekend rally with Donald Trump is part of a “smear campaign” by opponent Rodney Davis and what she calls the “fake news media.”
Miller says it was nothing more than a slip of the tongue when she described last week’s Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade as “a victory for white life.” She says she meant to say “right to life,” and says the controversy is the result of media attacking her and covering for Davis.
Appearing live on WMAY, she called it part of an ongoing effort by those on the left to tear down what she calls “regular Americans.”
