Most of us get on Facebook to see the latest happenings from our family & friends, not to get into deep political discussions.
Now, whether you’re for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton isn’t important, but according to a new Pew Research Center survey of 4,500 American users of Facebook & Twitter found that people are getting tired of seeing political discussions online.
Here are some quick results from the survey, which you can find HERE!
37% – worn out by how many political posts they see on social media.
20% – like seeing political posts on social media.
41% – don’t have an opinion on the subject.
59% – say they have stressful/frustrating discussions on social media with those people who have different political beliefs.
39% – blocked people so they wouldn’t have to read their political posts
84% – support the statement that “people say things when discussing politics online that they would never say in person”
83% – say that when they see political comments they disagree with they ignore them
Have you blocked certain Facebook friends to avoid reading their political rants? Will you re-friend them after the election?
