We all know paper, plastics, and glass can be recycled as can ink cartridges, tires, and many metals. However did you know about these common items?

- Brita Water Filters. You would think after filtering all the contaminants out of our drinking water, there wouldn’t be a lot you could with your old filters. However PRESERVE melts them down and turns them into whole new items.
- Bras. If you aren’t planning on donating your old ones to Goodwill or something along those lines, how about recycling them through BraRecycling.com
- Light Bulbs. The new compact florescent bulbs should always be recycled. You can’t throw them away since they contain mercury and would contaminate landfills. So pack up all your old bulbs and head off to your nearest recycling center or Home Depot
