You would have to share your room with a stranger.
If you love to travel, you like to cut costs as much as you can so you can travel to more places. BUT are you willing to bunk with a complete stranger in order to save 50% on your hotel costs? Bryon Shannon, who founded the Winston Club in November, is hoping you will.
The website allows you to split the cost of the room with another person but you aren’t going into this completely blind. You can accept or reject the roommate that the club chooses for you, based on biographical information provided by club members.
Right now you come book hotels in the Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas and San Francisco areas. There is no cost to join the club and while the main goal is saving money, some members are using it to meet new friends and travel companions.
So the next time you are heading out that way, will you use this service?
