Someone put a wedding band and a diamond engagement ring worth $3,500 in a Salvation Army holiday red kettle in Massachusetts.
It is that time of year when we all drop a little something in the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle. Some people just drop a little bit more than others!
The charity called the rings, which was donated anonymously, “an incredible gift” and will use it to cover a variety of needs for needy people this holiday season including food and other outreach programs.
This isn’t the first time something sparkly has showed up in a kettle. Last December, a widow put her wedding and diamond engagement rings in a kettle in Boston. More recently a Minnesota couple put a check for $500,000 in their local kettle.
