Australian Surfer Mick Fanning faced an added challenge at the J-Bay Open in South Africa when he had to fight off a great white!
It was like a scene out of Jaws, but with a much happier ending. Mick Fanning was on his surfboard waiting for his turn and a good wave right before the final round of the competition. Then a terrifyingly familiar sight popped up behind him- a shark’s dorsal fin!
“I was waiting for the teeth to come at me.”
Ultimately Fanning was knocked off his surf board and had to use it as a shield and even had to punch the shark to defend himself. Fortunately the shark swam away without injuring the surfer but see the terrifying video here
**Warning understandable S-bomb at the beginning**
