There’s no question that girls play as hard if not harder than the boys – but does this high school softball player cross the line of competition into the area of ‘playing dirty’?
It was a tight game between Needville and Huffman Hargrave High School in the Texas 4A state softball championship – so emotions and stakes were extremely high.
A line drive which made it over the left fielders’ glove had Demi Janak rounding third coming into score. Then, it appears Needville catcher throws the elbow out – clipping Janak, knocking her to the ground.
Now, if it happened once, you could say it was maybe just an accident but the Needville catcher does it again to another player coming into score.
After the second incident, you can definitely see the frustration on the faces of the Hargrave players.
In the end – scoreboard! Hargrave won the game 6-4. But, should the player have been ejected from the game or allowed to continue to play?
