Dogs and cats are available for adoption daily from noon until 5 p.m. at APL’s shelter located at 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield. APL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting ill, injured and abandoned homeless animals, runs an animal shelter which is open every day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions. APL also coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs. APL also operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter.
