Biography: Jim Pemberton
Shift: Saturdays and fill-in Marital / Children Status: Not married but have a teenaged daughter that’s so much like me, it’s frightening…. Hail from: Springfield, IL Hobbies: Cardinal Baseball (to the dismay of my Cub-loving Mother); Anything music related. Swimming, long conversations (serious or silly), gourmet food, and fabricating autobiographical information! Beverage of choice: A frosty cold Rolling Rock on a Saturday night (after I get off the air, of course!)… Or an A & W Cream Soda… How did you get started in radio? I’ve been a radio junkie ever since I was 3 years old. It’s the only thing I’ve ever really wanted to do. What's the most annoying question people ask you? You radio guys makes lots of money, right? What is your most memorable concert experience? 1992, seeing Steely Dan in concert in St. Louis. It was the first time they’d performed together again in 18 years. I could’ve died a happy man right then and there! Weirdest experience? Holding my daughter for the first time… It was beautiful, but I’ll never forget the feeling of “I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing”…. What CD are you embarrassed to own? Mine isn’t a cd—it’s actually vinyl—Leif Garrett—the album that has “I Was Made For Dancin’” on it… It’s my sister’s—so don’t tell her I stole it! |
