U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is giving a mixed review to the historic summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. Durbin says it’s better for the two leaders to be talking instead of hurling insults or threats.
But he says the Singapore summit did not produce an agreement or a credible plan to remove the nuclear threat from the Korean Peninsula.
Durbin says now that the press opportunity has passed, it’s time for serious and meaningful discussions toward a firm and verifiable deal.
